Simon Rameriz started the match with the kick off. Simon Rameriz blasted a shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Mateo Llorienzo having to make a save. In the 18th match minute, Merengue FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Niceto Sendoa to maneuver through the defense. After 21 played minutes Merengue FC got a freekick which was hit by Eugenio Sedeni. Enzo Martinez kicked well hit freekick during the 27th minute of the match. When Paulo Arnau fell near the penalty area in the 35th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Maravilla's protests and gave Paulo Arnau a yellow card for diving instead. Jacinto Frascuelo, 37 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. In the 39th minute, Simon Rameriz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 47th minute Eugenio Sedeni shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Agustín Orion saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

When the match had gone on for 53 minutes, Domingo Jago took a quick shot and it went in 0-1 without a chance for Agustín Orion to make any attempt to save it. Agustín Orion made an important save on a dangerous shot by Eugenio Sedeni in the 60th minute. The supporters of Merengue FC booed when Maravilla was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 60 match minutes in a wonderful position. Prospero Muc didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 68 minutes, Nemesio Damario mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Maravilla and the Merengue FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Nemesio Damario hit a great freekick 68 minutes into the match. Agustín Orion made a fantastic save in the 71st minute, when Eugenio Sedeni sent off a good shot on target. Eugenio Sedeni received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 79th minute. Agustín Orion tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Simon Rameriz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 84th minute, Jairo Nazario hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Agustín Orion made an important save on a dangerous shot by Eugenio Sedeni in the 86th minute. Maravilla's Agustín Orion played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Niceto Sendoa in the 91st minute of play. In the 94th minute of the match, Eugenio Sedeni got a very nice opportunity to score, but Agustín Orion was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Eugenio Sedeni who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 96thth minute tested the skills of Agustín Orion when he managed to save the team from getting behind.
