Ivan Stanciu didn't get a good kick on the ball. Folke Österlund took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Steve Deckkers, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Steve Deckkers during the 46th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Leonel Varela sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

When Leonel Varela came up free with the goalie in the 57th minute, the Catugi FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Leonel Varela couldn't finish the play. Marcel Petculescu kicked well hit freekick during the 62nd minute of the match. In the 64th minute Ivan Stanciu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Folke Österlund saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After having played for 69 minutes, Lv Si Hao managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. ASF BAIA MARE -MM-'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Lv Si Hao was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. A collision led to Catugi FC getting a freekick after 71 minutes play. Claudinei Carioca hit a great ball. Leonel Varela received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 73rd minute. Marcel Chiriță tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 75th minute, Ivan Stanciu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Folke Österlund showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Remus Vermeşan in the 79th minute of the match. During the 81st minute of the match Ivan Stanciu completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Ivan Stanciu a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game.
