Spectators: 35 (Terracing: 27, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Zeledon Locaio started the match with the kick off. Folke Österlund made a fantastic save in the 6th minute, when Zeledon Locaio sent off a good shot on target. After 6 played minutes Catugi FC got a freekick which was hit by Luiz Fernando Rezende. Prospero Calvino took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hernani Travassos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Rafaela FC's Gustavo Amato got a free kick in the 12th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luiz Fernando Rezende in the 13th minute of play forced Rafaela FC's goalkeeper Prospero Calvino to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some careless play in the Rafaela FC defense, Hernani Travassos kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Prospero Calvino. The Rafaela FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Prospero Calvino should have stopped the shot. In the 17th minute, Nando de Alcântara made a precise shot to the right of Prospero Calvino. Rafaela FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. Prospero Calvino didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Nando de Alcântara went, in the 20th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-3 was the resulting score. In the 24th minute Nando de Alcântara shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Prospero Calvino saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Rafaela FC's Prospero Calvino played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hernani Travassos in the 25th minute of play. Catugi FC's Folke Österlund proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 28th minute of the match, managed to save Catugi FC from getting a goal against them. In the 29th minute, Nando de Alcântara ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Prospero Calvino was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-4. In the 31st minute Eriberto Navarro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Folke Österlund saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Leonel Varela took the ball and in the 33 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Prospero Calvino. Prospero Calvino dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-5. Prospero Calvino took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nando de Alcântara, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to Rafaela FC getting a freekick after 37 minutes play. Gustavo Amato hit a great ball. In the 38th minute, Claudinei Carioca hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Prospero Calvino showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nando de Alcântara in the 40th minute of the match. Prospero Calvino stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Nando de Alcântara's shot from short distance in the 41st minute. Luiz Fernando Rezende scored 0-6 in the 43rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Prospero Calvino, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-6 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Nando de Alcântara to make the kick off. 54 minutes into the game, Catugi FC's Luiz Fernando Rezende nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Prospero Calvino made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-7. In the 57th minute, Juan Perpinya hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Prospero Calvino took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nando de Alcântara, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the match had gone on for 61 minutes, Hernani Travassos took a quick shot and it went in 0-8 without a chance for Prospero Calvino to make any attempt to save it. A collision led to Rafaela FC getting a freekick after 65 minutes play. Zeledon Locaio hit a great ball. 68 minutes into the match, Catugi FC's goal looked a bit too open when Zeledon Locaio came free, but Folke Österlund reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Prospero Calvino made a fantastic save in the 69th minute, when Hernani Travassos sent off a good shot on target. Hector Servando hit a great freekick 70 minutes into the match. Prospero Calvino showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nando de Alcântara, who was totally free with the ball in the 71st minute. Prospero Calvino was a little too slow when Nando de Alcântara got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 76th minute. The score was now 0-10. The crowd rose to their feet as Catugi FC's Hernani Travassos slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Prospero Calvino. That made the score 0-11 after 82 minutes of play. Folke Österlund took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Zeledon Locaio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Zeledon Locaio in the 87th minute of play forced Catugi FC's goalkeeper Folke Österlund to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 91 minutes into the match, Rafaela FC's goalkeeper Prospero Calvino had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Leonel Varela. Folke Österlund made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gustavo Amato in the 95th minute of play.
