Nando de Alcântaras short, quick shot in the 8thth minute got Marcel Chiriță to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. An unexpectedly hard shot by Călin Tache in the 10th minute of play forced Catugi FC's goalkeeper Folke Österlund to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 11 minutes into the match, Nando de Alcântara dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Marcel Chiriță, 2-0. After a rather tough play, Catugi FC's Luiz Fernando Rezende got a free kick in the 26th minute. Remus Vermeşan struck a weak shot in the 27th minute. Folke Österlund didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for ASF BAIA MARE -MM-. 31 minutes into the match, Catugi FC's goal looked a bit too open when Remus Vermeşan came free, but Folke Österlund reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Cătălin Octavian hit a great freekick 34 minutes into the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Nando de Alcântara got free with Marcel Chiriță in the 36th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 38 minutes into the match, Cătălin Octavian had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Folke Österlund. Catugi FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Cătălin Octavian was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-1. Folke Österlund came out of the goal in the 44th minute to try and stop a shot by ASF BAIA MARE -MM-'s Cătălin Octavian. But to his dismay, Cătălin Octavian quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-2. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Remus Vermeşan to make the kick off. Marcel Chiriță made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Leonel Varela in the 51st minute of play. Catugi FC's Folke Österlund played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Remus Vermeşan in the 65th minute of play. 66 minutes into the game, Catugi FC's Nando de Alcântara nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Marcel Chiriță made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 6-3. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nando de Alcântara in the 69th minute of play forced ASF BAIA MARE -MM-'s goalkeeper Marcel Chiriță to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 71st minute Călin Tache shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Folke Österlund saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Folke Österlund showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Călin Tache in the 73rd minute of the match. When the match had gone on for 76 minutes, Călin Tache put it in 6-4 from a short distance just to the right of Folke Österlund. A collision led to ASF BAIA MARE -MM- getting a freekick after 78 minutes play. Remus Vermeşan hit a great ball. Folke Österlund showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Remus Vermeşan, who was totally free with the ball in the 80th minute. In the 84th minute, Remus Vermeşan reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Folke Österlund. The goal made the score 6-5. 87 minutes into the match, Catugi FC's goal looked a bit too open when Remus Vermeşan came free, but Folke Österlund reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 89 played minutes ASF BAIA MARE -MM- got a freekick which was hit by Marcel Petculescu. In the 89th minute of the match Hernani Travassos sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Marcel Chiriță skillfully saved the ball. Nando de Alcântara took the ball and in the 90 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Marcel Chiriță. Marcel Chiriță dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 7-5. In the 95th match minute, Catugi FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hernani Travassos to maneuver through the defense. Catugi FC were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of ASF BAIA MARE -MM- for a fine match.
