Kjell Trulsson who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 30thth minute tested the skills of Carlos Germano when he managed to save the team from getting behind. The Club Atlético Atlanta fans' excitement grew in the 34th match minute when Club Atlético Atlanta's Eustaquio Jaizki looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Kjell Trulsson to make the kick off. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Eustaquio Jaizki in the 94th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Samuel Enström saved spikarna from getting behind. Pedro Rojelio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Samuel Enström having to interfere. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Club Atlético Atlanta eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
