The Coritiba Foot Ball Club fans' excitement grew in the 2nd match minute when Coritiba Foot Ball Club's Rodrigo Garro looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Cacá Britovskiy fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Seppo Palsola having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Rodrigo Garro got free with Seppo Palsola in the 17th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Jari Welling hit a great freekick 18 minutes into the match. In the 21st minute, Walmir Teles reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Seppo Palsola. The goal made the score 2-0. After a rather tough play, Palloketut's Urmas Vuorinen got a free kick in the 26th minute. 27 minutes into the game, Coritiba Foot Ball Club's Walmir Teles nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Seppo Palsola made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-0. In the 32nd minute, Roberto Biaggio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 34th minute, Rodrigo Garro left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Coritiba Foot Ball Club fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-0. An unexpected shot in the 36th minute by Cacá Britovskiy got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Seppo Palsola didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Walmir Teles went, in the 53rd minute, to the upper right corner, 5-0 was the resulting score. After having played for 65 minutes, Rodrigo Garro managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Coritiba Foot Ball Club's supporters crossed their fingers, but Rodrigo Garro was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpected shot in the 67th minute by Urmas Vuorinen got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Seppo Palsola showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cacá Britovskiy, who was totally free with the ball in the 69th minute. After 72 minutes of play, Coritiba Foot Ball Club's Rodrigo Garro made it 8-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Seppo Palsola was left in no man's land by his defense there! Coritiba Foot Ball Club's Léo Nascimento was substituted for Roberto Biaggio. 79 minutes into the match, Palloketut's goal looked a bit too open when Walmir Teles came free, but Seppo Palsola reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some careless play in the Palloketut defense, Cacá Britovskiy kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Seppo Palsola. The Palloketut fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Seppo Palsola should have stopped the shot. When the match had gone on for 85 minutes, Rodrigo Garro put it in 11-0 from a short distance just to the right of Seppo Palsola. In the 87th minute Léo Nascimento shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Seppo Palsola saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Rodrigo Garro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 92nd minute. Seppo Palsola tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 94thth minute of the game Walmir Teles who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Palloketut's Seppo Palsola was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Coritiba Foot Ball Club's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
