Adrian Pereyra fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dino Fernandez having to interfere. In the 72nd minute Leonardo Capixaba shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jorge Iribarren saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Umbrella Corporation were awarded a corner in the 73th minute after Sacronas Futbol Club's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Reinaldo de Carvalho took the corner. Umbrella Corporation's Reinaldo de Carvalho was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Jorge Iribarren in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Erasmo Teixeira charged in rather forcefully in the 78th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down.
