Luís Paulo Romero took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Barnabé Aldrich, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some careless play in the I love u Messi defense, Jonathan Fonseca kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Fabian Rodrigue. The I love u Messi fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Fabian Rodrigue should have stopped the shot. Jonathan Fonseca received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 16th minute. Fabian Rodrigue tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Brice McKee kicked well hit freekick during the 21st minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in I love u Messi's zone, Victor de Salles stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Fabian Rodrigue came out of the goal and Victor de Salles tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 23rd minute, Victor de Salles ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Fabian Rodrigue was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. In the 27th minute Zé Pedro Montenegro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fabian Rodrigue saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Victor de Salles had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Jonathan Fonseca to make the kick off. In the 52nd minute, Bart Renaud hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Victor de Salles struck a weak shot in the 59th minute. Fabian Rodrigue didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Flying Dutch. In the 62nd minute, Jonathan Fonseca got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Tiago Correia had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. José Vítor Rosado's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Fabian Rodrigue read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 69th minute of play. I love u Messi's Floyd MacDonald managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Osmar Mattos in the 73 minute of the game. In the 74th minute Barnabé Aldrich shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Luís Paulo Romero saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 75 minutes, Bart Renaud mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the I love u Messi and the Flying Dutch players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 76 played minutes I love u Messi got a freekick which was hit by Bart Renaud. After 76 minutes of play, Flying Dutch's Victor de Salles made it 0-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Fabian Rodrigue was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 82nd minute, Flying Dutch's Jonathan Fonseca ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Fabian Rodrigue. Fabian Rodrigue yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-5. After a defensive mix-up in I love u Messi's zone, Zé Pedro Montenegro stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Fabian Rodrigue came out of the goal and Zé Pedro Montenegro tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. With a little luck, I love u Messi's Fabian Rodrigue got control of the ball when Jonathan Fonseca tried to sneak it across the goal line. Flying Dutch played a much better game than I love u Messi and deserved their victory. The I love u Messi players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
