Taco Zwartkruis made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dario Benedetto in the 16th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Andy Scholte got free with Crişan Taffarel in the 18th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Ciclista FC's Justo Osorio suffered a concussion in the 19th minute, after a hard challenge, and had to leave the field. Christian Urbano's late challenge caught a Ciclista FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Christian Urbano helped the player get up and apologised. Christian Urbano hit a great freekick 20 minutes into the match. 22 minutes into the match, Julias Rascals Apeldoorn's goal looked a bit too open when Amador Francesco came free, but Taco Zwartkruis reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ciclista FC's Crişan Taffarel proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 25th minute of the match, managed to save Ciclista FC from getting a goal against them. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Henny Braamhaar was the one to do the kick off. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
