Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Nazeer Mhlathe took the kick off in the first half of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sandu Alexa in the 8th minute of play forced Jordan F1 91-05's goalkeeper Zlatan Buffon to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Rot-Weiss-Essen's Uwe Ziege played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gunnar Nilsson in the 12th minute of play. After 13 minutes of play, Jordan F1 91-05's Gunnar Nilsson made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Uwe Ziege was left in no man's land by his defense there! Gunnar Nilsson's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Uwe Ziege read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 16th minute of play. Rot-Weiss-Essen's Uwe Ziege played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gunnar Nilsson in the 18th minute of play. 24 minutes into the match, Gunnar Nilsson had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Uwe Ziege. Rot-Weiss-Essen's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Gunnar Nilsson was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. Ronnie Peterson kicked well hit freekick during the 26th minute of the match. Jordan F1 91-05's defense didn't have a chance, in the 27th minute, when Erkan Fostiropoulos scored to the left of an out of position Zlatan Buffon, making the score, 1-2. If Gunnar Nilsson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Uwe Ziege took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gunnar Nilsson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 35th minute, Gunnar Nilsson left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Jordan F1 91-05 fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-4. Zlatan Buffon made an important save on a dangerous shot by Sandu Alexa in the 38th minute. Uwe Ziege showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gunnar Nilsson, who was totally free with the ball in the 39th minute. Jordan F1 91-05's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Matthias Colin in the 41st minute. In the 41st match minute, Rot-Weiss-Essen was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Denis Trenker to maneuver through the defense. Rot-Weiss-Essen's Uwe Ziege played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gunnar Nilsson in the 46th minute of play. When Xavi Haberer fell near the penalty area in the 47th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Rot-Weiss-Essen's protests and gave Xavi Haberer a yellow card for diving instead. In the 48th match minute, Rot-Weiss-Essen was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Xavi Haberer to maneuver through the defense. When Gunnar Nilsson came up free with the goalie in the 49th minute, the Jordan F1 91-05 fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gunnar Nilsson couldn't finish the play. The Rot-Weiss-Essen players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Jordan F1 91-05 were winning 1-4.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Erkan Fostiropoulos stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Uwe Ziege made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gunnar Nilsson in the 54th minute of play. In the 57th minute Gunnar Nilsson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Uwe Ziege saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Björn Mokros in the 61st minute of play forced Jordan F1 91-05's goalkeeper Zlatan Buffon to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Gunnar Nilsson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Uwe Ziege showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gunnar Nilsson, who was totally free with the ball in the 62nd minute. In the 65thth minute of the game Gunnar Nilsson who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Rot-Weiss-Essen's Uwe Ziege was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 66 minutes into the game, Ebbo Böse was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Rot-Weiss-Essen's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Jordan F1 91-05 the free kick. Ebbo Böse kicked well hit freekick during the 66th minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Nazeer Mhlathe in the 67th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Uwe Ziege prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Gabriel Oliveira struck a weak shot in the 71st minute. Uwe Ziege didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Jordan F1 91-05. Ronnie Peterson kicked well hit freekick during the 72nd minute of the match. Zlatan Buffon showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sandu Alexa, who was totally free with the ball in the 77th minute. Uwe Ziege took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gunnar Nilsson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 86th minute Gunnar Nilsson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Uwe Ziege saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jordan F1 91-05 made a substitution. Fredric Hård replaced Matthias Colin. Jordan F1 91-05 were awarded a corner in the 89th minute after Rot-Weiss-Essen's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Szczepan Szablewski took the corner. A well done corner resulted in Gunnar Nilsson drilling the ball in to score 1-5 behind Rot-Weiss-Essen's goalkeeper. Gunnar Nilsson's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Uwe Ziege read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 92nd minute of play. Uwe Ziege didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Nazeer Mhlathe went, in the 95th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-6 was the resulting score. The Jordan F1 91-05 players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
