The audience thought a goal was coming when Emanuel Markham got free with Claudio Weniger in the 6th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After a rather tough play, Flatline Zombies's Hans Wurfel got a free kick in the 14th minute. Emanuel Markham took the ball and in the 21 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Claudio Weniger. Claudio Weniger dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. In the 23rd minute, Arild Reppen hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Mario Caron fell near the penalty area in the 27th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Flatline Zombies's protests and gave Mario Caron a yellow card for diving instead. After 27 played minutes Flatline Zombies got a freekick which was hit by Mario Caron. Kent Remme charged in rather forcefully in the 28th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. Claudio Weniger was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Brufoss IL had won after a very even match.
