In the 13thth minute of the game Radowit Bycofski who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Rot-Weiss-Essen's Simeon Plank was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Simeon Plank stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Radowit Bycofski's shot from short distance in the 13th minute. FC Saxon's Solustiano Partarroyo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sandu Alexa in the 15th minute of play. Simeon Plank showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Milosz Flis in the 17th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, FC Saxon's Emil Pyczkowski got a free kick in the 17th minute. Lu Xuan Wei lost his temper 18 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. 18 minutes into the game, one of FC Saxon:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. FC Saxon:s Solustiano Partarroyo showed great skill when he stopped Sandu Alexa:s penalty. The referee felt a red card was in order, 24 minutes into the game, when Vasco Jackisch put in a rough tackle. Simeon Plank showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Milosz Flis, who was totally free with the ball in the 31st minute. The crowd rose to their feet as Rot-Weiss-Essen's Björn Mokros slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Solustiano Partarroyo. That made the score 1-0 after 34 minutes of play. Solustiano Partarroyo made a fantastic save in the 38th minute, when Björn Mokros sent off a good shot on target. In the 40th minute, Radowit Bycofski made a precise shot to the right of Simeon Plank. Rot-Weiss-Essen's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

The wind increased when Erkan Fostiropoulos made the kick off in the second half. Radowit Bycofski came free with the goalkeeper in the 55th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Simeon Plank could save by the left post. In the 62nd match minute, FC Saxon was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nae Istrătescu to maneuver through the defense. If Radowit Bycofski had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 64th minute Radowit Bycofski shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Simeon Plank saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 67 minutes in the game Helmut Malinowski did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Florian Hagen. In the 72nd match minute, FC Saxon was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jiang Yun De to maneuver through the defense. After 76 minutes of play, FC Saxon's Radowit Bycofski made it 1-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Simeon Plank was left in no man's land by his defense there! The crowd rose to their feet as FC Saxon's Radowit Bycofski slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Simeon Plank. That made the score 1-4 after 80 minutes of play. 84 minutes into the match, Rot-Weiss-Essen's goalkeeper Simeon Plank had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Radowit Bycofski. When Helmut Malinowski fell near the penalty area in the 85th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Rot-Weiss-Essen's protests and gave Helmut Malinowski a yellow card for diving instead. After 85 played minutes Rot-Weiss-Essen got a freekick which was hit by Helmut Malinowski. After a rather tough play, Rot-Weiss-Essen's Ebbo Böse got a free kick in the 88th minute. Solustiano Partarroyo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Erkan Fostiropoulos in the 90th minute of play. In the 93rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Rot-Weiss-Essen's goalkeeper Simeon Plank, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Simeon Plank made a fantastic save in the 95th minute, when Radowit Bycofski sent off a good shot on target.
