After 33 played minutes, Brufoss IL's Arild Reppen shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Gigel Gorgan came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Brufoss IL reached it. Gigel Gorgan didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Emanuel Markham went, in the 38th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-3 was the resulting score. After 43 minutes of play, Brufoss IL's Emanuel Markham made it 0-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Gigel Gorgan was left in no man's land by his defense there! A collision led to MIT getting a freekick after 47 minutes play. Remus Chilian hit a great ball. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-4 lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Emanuel Markham was the one to do the kick off. Gigel Gorgan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Emanuel Markham, who was totally free with the ball in the 52nd minute. After some careless play in the Brufoss IL defense, Marcu Voitiş kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Olav Øverby. The Brufoss IL fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Olav Øverby should have stopped the shot. 69 minutes into the game, Eilert Grønseth was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Olav Øverby came out of the goal and Eusebiu Siniştean tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Olav Øverby showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eusebiu Siniştean, who was totally free with the ball in the 79th minute. After 85 played minutes MIT got a freekick which was hit by Eusebiu Siniştean.
