The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Jerzy Dudek showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Guido Carrillo, who was totally free with the ball in the 2nd minute. Vicente Txomin hit a great freekick 3 minutes into the match. Damazy Obuchowicz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 4th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tautvydas Mickevičius having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Theodor Sagen in the 7th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Tautvydas Mickevičius saved ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA from getting behind. A collision led to ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA getting a freekick after 8 minutes play. Damaso Checa hit a great ball. Zdzislaw Fujara received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 9th minute. Tautvydas Mickevičius tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Tautvydas Mickevičius showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Zdzislaw Fujara in the 12th minute of the match. Jerzy Dudek made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Guido Carrillo in the 17th minute of play. Tautvydas Mickevičius made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Wen Yue Sang hit a great freekick 35 minutes into the match. Gogo Azibar hit a great ball. 46 minutes into the match, ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA's goal looked a bit too open when Damazy Obuchowicz came free, but Tautvydas Mickevičius reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Theodor Sagen in the 47th minute of play forced ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA's goalkeeper Tautvydas Mickevičius to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After the first half Rembertów DJs were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Rembertów DJs's Pan Yi Gang was substituted for Walter Jabali. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Guido Carrillo stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 52 minutes into the game, Lucio Txordon was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Rembertów DJs the free kick. Žaba came free, but Tautvydas Mickevičius reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet as Rembertów DJs's Theodor Sagen slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Tautvydas Mickevičius. That made the score 0-2 after 82 minutes of play. D.J. Žabas short, quick shot in the 88thth minute got Tautvydas Mickevičius to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA's Tautvydas Mickevičius played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Theodor Sagen in the 88th minute of play. In the 95th minute, Osvaldo Gabon hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After recieving a nice pass, Rembertów DJs's Tomasz Ryback tried to score from far away in the 96th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. The supporters of Rembertów DJs booed when ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 97 match minutes in a wonderful position. Wen Yue Sang didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the match was over Rembertów DJs could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA throughout the match.
