If Zygmunt Pieknik had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 2nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a little luck, Kernsdorf SSA's Piotr Topolski got control of the ball when Marco van Basten tried to sneak it across the goal line. Jovens Democratas MZC's Filiberto Fidele played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by José Guerreiro in the 13th minute of play. In the 17th minute José Guerreiro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Filiberto Fidele saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 18 minutes Jovens Democratas MZC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Damazy Gomolka who took care of the corner kick. Piotr Topolski showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Serginho Sabóia, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. Filiberto Fidele showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from José Guerreiro in the 25th minute of the match. José Guerreiro scored 0-2 in the 27th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Filiberto Fidele, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Filiberto Fidele showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Zygmunt Pieknik in the 39th minute of the match. 40 minutes into the match, Jovens Democratas MZC's goal looked a bit too open when José Guerreiro came free, but Filiberto Fidele reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Kernsdorf SSA getting a freekick after 44 minutes play. Stefan Kempka hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by José Guerreiro in the 46th minute of play forced Jovens Democratas MZC's goalkeeper Filiberto Fidele to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Marco van Basten to make the kick off. Erasmo de Godoi might have been able to make a better finish in the 51st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Piotr Topolski. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Erasmo de Godoi ran back to his position shaking his head. 52 minutes into the match, José Guerreiro notched a goal, 0-3, to the right of Jovens Democratas MZC's Filiberto Fidele. Filiberto Fidele was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Jovens Democratas MZC's Filiberto Fidele proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 55th minute of the match, managed to save Jovens Democratas MZC from getting a goal against them. In the 56th minute Marco van Basten shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Piotr Topolski saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Piotr Topolski made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Serginho Sabóia in the 58th minute of play. Sebastian Walaszkiewicz hit a great freekick 61 minutes into the match. Jovens Democratas MZC made a substitution. Eliseu Simão replaced Charles Eger. Sebastian Walaszkiewicz kicked well hit freekick during the 63rd minute of the match. In the 64th minute of the match Marcel Veiga shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Piotr Topolski showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. If Serginho Sabóia had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jovens Democratas MZC made a substitution. Vinícius Galvan replaced Jozef Ilve. Kernsdorf SSA made a substitution. Konstanty Major replaced Zygmunt Pieknik. Sjors van Ankeren's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Filiberto Fidele read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 76th minute of play. Eliseu Simão sent away a hard shot on goal in the 79th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jovens Democratas MZC's Filiberto Fidele played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sjors van Ankeren in the 80th minute of play. Lúcio Cruz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 82nd minute. Piotr Topolski tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The crowd rose to their feet as Sjors van Ankeren kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Filiberto Fidele. That made the score 0-4 in the 83 minute of play. Piotr Topolski took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Giuseppe Negri, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jovens Democratas MZC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Marcel Veiga in the 90th minute. Marcel Veiga hit a great freekick 93 minutes into the match. Konstanty Major scored 0-5 in the 94th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Filiberto Fidele, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The Jovens Democratas MZC supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Kernsdorf SSA's performance. The match ended with a win for Kernsdorf SSA.
