One of Pinhote FC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Racing Miami Futbol Club:s goal. The referee gave Racing Miami Futbol Club a penalty, 20 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Oliver Rivera, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Pinhote FC's Higino Pessoa. 3-0. Racing Miami Futbol Club's Merrill Banks got a good chance for a goal in the 22nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. With a little luck, Pinhote FC's Higino Pessoa got control of the ball when Ervin DeJesus tried to sneak it across the goal line. The supporters of Racing Miami Futbol Club booed when Pinhote FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 33 match minutes in a wonderful position. Américo Severo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Merrill Banks had several of the Pinhote FC's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 35 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 4-0 score and a disappointed Higino Pessoa as he didn't even see the shot coming. In the 39th minute Merrill Banks shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Higino Pessoa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ervin DeJesus who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 40thth minute tested the skills of Higino Pessoa when he managed to save the team from getting behind. A throw-in in the 46th minute of the game was made by Severiano Prates with Dércio Brandão as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 4-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Américo Severo to strike the kick off in the second half. Severino lago got a throw-in 64 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Hermenegildo Teles. In the 64th minute, Denny Godwin had to leave the field with a concussion.
