In the 10th minute, FC Krasnosielc's Krzysztof Rutecki dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-1. Olaf Bierfass received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 16th minute. Cláudio Taffarel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Wincent Dawiec could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 18th minute of the match, but Cláudio Taffarel made a huge save. Maciej Budrewicz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Geovânio Quirino, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 2-3.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Wincent Dawiec was the one to do the kick off. In the 59th minute of the match Wieslaw Siembab sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Cláudio Taffarel skillfully saved the ball. Ulysses Silva was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 66th minute. Noroeste Paulista's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Cláudio Taffarel was left in no man's land by his defense there! Noroeste Paulista's Cláudio Taffarel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Wincent Dawiec in the 90th minute of play. 90 minutes into the match, Noroeste Paulista's goal looked a bit too open when Wincent Dawiec came free, but Cláudio Taffarel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
