Che Perón was slow to take the kick. During this time Resurrección Diabólica Ψ's players had a chance to rest. At last the ball reached Che Perón at the corner, ending with a kick to difficult to stop for the goalkeeper of Noroeste Paulista. 0-1. 35 minutes into the match, Noroeste Paulista's goal looked a bit too open when Mando Lucifer came free, but Cláudio Taffarel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Francesco Toldo didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Geovânio Quirino went, in the 43rd minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. After a rather tough play, Resurrección Diabólica Ψ's Gabriel-Omar Lewandowski got a free kick in the 46th minute. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Geovânio Quirino was the one to do the kick off. Resurrección Diabólica Ψ's Gabriel-Omar Lucifer was substituted for Mando Lucifer. Cláudio Taffarel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gabriel-Omar Lewandowski in the 71st minute of play. Cláudio Taffarel made an important save on a dangerous shot by Gabriel-Omar Lucifer in the 72nd minute. Fernando Ortiz hit a great freekick 78 minutes into the match.
