GuateFortín's Carlos Navarro Montoya played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jacinto Fagondo in the 9th minute of play. The supporters of Black Rose 1979 booed when GuateFortín was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 10 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alonso Villacorta didn't get a good kick on the ball. 14 minutes into the match, Black Rose 1979's goal looked a bit too open when Edgardo Zelaya came free, but Baldomero Guillem reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Baldomero Guillem came out of the goal in the 14th minute to try and stop a shot by GuateFortín's Edgardo Zelaya. But to his dismay, Edgardo Zelaya quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. 18 minutes into the match, GuateFortín's goalkeeper Carlos Navarro Montoya had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Enzo-Nicolás Pérez. After 19 played minutes GuateFortín got a freekick which was hit by Ezequiel Peruanton. After a rather tough play, GuateFortín's Douglas Ayala got a free kick in the 21st minute. After 22 played minutes, Black Rose 1979's Silvio Llope shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Carlos Navarro Montoya came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Black Rose 1979 reached it. In the 24th minute, Ezequiel Peruanton hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 26 minutes into the match, GuateFortín's goalkeeper Carlos Navarro Montoya had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Silvio Llope. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

Carlos Navarro Montoya showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jacinto Fagondo in the 52nd minute of the match. 52 minutes into the match, Jacinto Fagondo had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Carlos Navarro Montoya. GuateFortín's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Jacinto Fagondo was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. Carlos Navarro Montoya stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Enzo-Nicolás Pérez's shot from short distance in the 57th minute. Ezequiel Peruanton blasted a shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Baldomero Guillem having to make a save. Victor Valenzuela kicked well hit freekick during the 91st minute of the match. In the 92nd minute of the match Alonzo Oxel shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Carlos Navarro Montoya showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 93rd minute, Enzo-Nicolás Pérez left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Black Rose 1979 fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-2. GuateFortín succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though Black Rose 1979 had controlled the match.
