The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Gürkan Gurka struck a weak shot in the 5th minute. Isaias Gurutz didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for AIK FOTBOLL. Isaias Gurutz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Per-Oskar Nykvist, who was totally free with the ball in the 11th minute. Atlético Montserrat's Isaias Gurutz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Per-Oskar Nykvist in the 14th minute of play. If Per-Oskar Nykvist had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Isaias Gurutz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Per-Oskar Nykvist in the 16th minute of play. In the 22nd match minute, AIK FOTBOLL was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Teodosio Garci to maneuver through the defense. Isaias Gurutz came out of the goal in the 25th minute to try and stop a shot by AIK FOTBOLL's Per-Oskar Nykvist. But to his dismay, Per-Oskar Nykvist quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. Teodosio Garci lost his temper 29 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. In the 29th minute, Teodosio Garci hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Per-Oskar Nykvist took the ball and in the 32 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Isaias Gurutz. Isaias Gurutz dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-3. A collision led to AIK FOTBOLL getting a freekick after 35 minutes play. Ove Kellberg hit a great ball. 41 minutes into the match, Per-Oskar Nykvist notched a goal, 0-4, to the right of Atlético Montserrat's Isaias Gurutz. Isaias Gurutz was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Isaias Gurutz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Per-Oskar Nykvist in the 46th minute of the match. The supporters of AIK FOTBOLL booed when Atlético Montserrat was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 47 match minutes in a wonderful position. Severo Cutberto didn't get a good kick on the ball.

The wind increased when Luisito Fix made the kick off in the second half. Isac Sundström's late challenge caught a Atlético Montserrat's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Isac Sundström helped the player get up and apologised. In the 52nd match minute, AIK FOTBOLL was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Isac Sundström to maneuver through the defense. Atlético Montserrat's defense didn't have a chance, in the 56th minute, when Per-Oskar Nykvist scored to the left of an out of position Isaias Gurutz, making the score, 0-5. Isaias Gurutz came out of the goal in the 69th minute to try and stop a shot by AIK FOTBOLL's Fredrik Axelsson. But to his dismay, Fredrik Axelsson quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-6. 74 minutes into the match, Atlético Montserrat's goalkeeper Isaias Gurutz had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Fredrik Axelsson. 82 minutes had been played when some careless play by Atlético Montserrat's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Alfred Nobel was slow to take the kick. During this time AIK FOTBOLL's players had a chance to rest. The corner ended in Alfred Nobel almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Atlético Montserrat's Isaias Gurutz did a great save. After 84 minutes, Fredrik Axelsson made it 0-8 with a short kick to the right side. Atlético Montserrat's Isaias Gurutz tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Fredrik Axelsson struck a weak shot in the 89th minute. Isaias Gurutz didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for AIK FOTBOLL. When Fredrik Axelsson came up free with the goalie in the 91st minute, the AIK FOTBOLL fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Fredrik Axelsson couldn't finish the play. Isaias Gurutz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fredrik Axelsson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the match was over AIK FOTBOLL could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Atlético Montserrat throughout the match.
