Guga Capixaba recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 3rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. With a little luck, RO Army V55's Helmuth Duckadam got control of the ball when Guga Capixaba tried to sneak it across the goal line. Vaggelis Kefalogiannis kicked well hit freekick during the 14th minute of the match. In the 15th minute, Waka Barcellos sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and RO Army V55's Helmuth Duckadam didn't even have to move. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Tony Vianna in the 19th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Helmuth Duckadam prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Helmuth Duckadam showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Guga Capixaba in the 21st minute of the match. In the 26th minute, Fausto Queirós got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 31 played minutes RO Army V55 got a freekick which was hit by Daniel Prodan. In the 32nd minute of the match Waka Barcellos shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Helmuth Duckadam showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Louis Makris fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Waldir Peres having to interfere. Waldir Peres showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fanis Katsiaounis, who was totally free with the ball in the 37th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Guga Capixaba got free with Helmuth Duckadam in the 41st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. RO Army V55's Helmuth Duckadam proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 41st minute of the match, managed to save RO Army V55 from getting a goal against them. Fausto Queirós could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 45th minute of the match, but Helmuth Duckadam made a huge save. The supporters of RO Army V55 booed when Barcellos Mineiro FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 47 match minutes in a wonderful position. Waka Barcellos didn't get a good kick on the ball. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Guga Capixaba made the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd minute, Tony Vianna ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Helmuth Duckadam was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. In the 56th minute, Tony Vianna got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The audience was convinced that Guga Capixaba's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Helmuth Duckadam was relentless in the 61st minute of the game. The supporters of Barcellos Mineiro FC booed when RO Army V55 was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 63 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vaggelis Kefalogiannis didn't get a good kick on the ball. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Barcellos Mineiro FC had won after a very even match.
