Dobromir Keep made an important save on a dangerous shot by Manuel Iban in the 4th minute. With a little luck, Purple Shadows's Dobromir Keep got control of the ball when Manuel Iban tried to sneak it across the goal line. Rene Higuita made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Relja Jurišić in the 8th minute of play. After 9 minutes of play, Purple Shadows's Gorom Kanø made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Rene Higuita was left in no man's land by his defense there! The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Augusto Udalaitz during the 16th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Augusto Udalaitz hit a great freekick 16 minutes into the match. After 17 played minutes, Purple Shadows's Aabel Ladva shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Rene Higuita came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Purple Shadows reached it. After 18 minutes, Baldomiro Selmo mouthed his way into the referee's book. A nice corner shot did that Emil Soliwoda got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Rene Higuita quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Rene Higuita made an important save on a dangerous shot by Tonin Zogu in the 69th minute. The crowd rose to their feet as Jakob Alberg kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Rene Higuita. That made the score 0-4 in the 72 minute of play. Rene Higuita was a little too slow when Relja Jurišić got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 77th minute. The score was now 0-5. When Vlastimir Jovanović fell near the penalty area in the 80th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Purple Shadows's protests and gave Vlastimir Jovanović a yellow card for diving instead. ..Villa Rugby Club..'s Manuel Iban got a good chance for a goal in the 82nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar.
