FC Žalia Giria's Vilmantas Matulas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Róbert Veress in the 5th minute of play. Marcell Vas's late challenge caught a FC Žalia Giria's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Marcell Vas helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of FC Žalia Giria booed when Újlõrincfalva LC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 9 match minutes in a wonderful position. The FC Žalia Giria fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-2. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-2.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Róbert Veress to make the kick off. If Saúl Gentiletti had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
