The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 4 minutes into the game, Igor Cavalera cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Pankracy Glogowski was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Alysson Rezende made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marcos Berdoi in the 11th minute of play. Igor Cavalera's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Pankracy Glogowski read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 12th minute of play. Igor Cavaleras short, quick shot in the 16thth minute got Pankracy Glogowski to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Adelino Antunes hit a great freekick 16 minutes into the match. Igor Cavalera could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 19th minute of the match, but Pankracy Glogowski made a huge save. Igor Cavalera sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Pankracy Glogowski made an important save on a dangerous shot by Igor Cavalera in the 21st minute. 24 minutes had been played when some careless play by Club Atlético Atlanta's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Jerônimo Vergílio was slow to take the kick. During this time Ogro F.C.'s players had a chance to rest. A collision led to Club Atlético Atlanta getting a freekick after 37 minutes play. Paolo Caradaro hit a great ball. Igor Cavalera could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 38th minute of the match, but Pankracy Glogowski made a huge save. In the 43rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Club Atlético Atlanta's goalkeeper Pankracy Glogowski, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Şevket Çağa stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After a defensive mix-up in Club Atlético Atlanta's zone, Igor Cavalera stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Pankracy Glogowski came out of the goal and Igor Cavalera tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Pankracy Glogowski stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Igor Cavalera's shot from short distance in the 54th minute. In the 54th minute, Jerônimo Vergílio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Dan Zimmermann hit a great freekick 59 minutes into the match. Igor Cavalera struck a weak shot in the 63rd minute. Pankracy Glogowski didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ogro F.C.. When the match clock showed 65 minutes, the score became 2-0 when Igor Cavalera sped through Club Atlético Atlanta's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Pankracy Glogowski. Ogro F.C. made a substitution. Mike Mangini replaced Dan Zimmermann. 69 minutes into the match, Club Atlético Atlanta's goal looked a bit too open when Mike Mangini came free, but Pankracy Glogowski reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 70th minute Marcos Berdoi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alysson Rezende saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 75th minute, Igor Cavalera ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Pankracy Glogowski was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-0. Ogro F.C.'s Marco Minnemann was substituted for Igor Cavalera. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marco Minnemann in the 81st minute of play forced Club Atlético Atlanta's goalkeeper Pankracy Glogowski to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Marcos Berdoi got free with Alysson Rezende in the 82nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 83rd minute, Lázaro Cuartio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 84 minutes into the match, Club Atlético Atlanta's goal looked a bit too open when Marco Minnemann came free, but Pankracy Glogowski reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 92 minutes into the match, Marco Minnemann had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Pankracy Glogowski. Club Atlético Atlanta's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Marco Minnemann was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-0. Club Atlético Atlanta's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
