Joinville City - FSCMZ's Haji Sarap played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tomas Levander in the 9th minute of play. After 13 minutes of play, Joinville City - FSCMZ's Geovanildo Luis made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Yao Zhan Sang was left in no man's land by his defense there! Yao Zhan Sang made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Geovanildo Luis in the 21st minute of play. Haji Sarap made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fernando Grover in the 22nd minute of play. After a rather tough play, Borussia Dortmund's Yakup Sargut got a free kick in the 23rd minute. Yao Zhan Sang showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Geovanildo Luis, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. 29 minutes into the match, Geovanildo Luis notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of Borussia Dortmund's Yao Zhan Sang. Yao Zhan Sang was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After 45 played minutes Joinville City - FSCMZ got a freekick which was hit by Henrique Camargo. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Geovanildo Luis to make the kick off. Geovanildo Luis might have been able to make a better finish in the 54th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Yao Zhan Sang. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Geovanildo Luis ran back to his position shaking his head. Yao Zhan Sang took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Geovanildo Luis, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 57 minutes of play, Joinville City - FSCMZ's Geovanildo Luis made it 3-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Yao Zhan Sang was left in no man's land by his defense there! When Geovanildo Luis came up free with the goalie in the 59th minute, the Joinville City - FSCMZ fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Geovanildo Luis couldn't finish the play. With a little luck, Joinville City - FSCMZ's Haji Sarap got control of the ball when Baltazar Clavijo tried to sneak it across the goal line. Geovanildo Luis scored 4-0 in the 68th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Yao Zhan Sang, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Tomas Levander in the 83rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Haji Sarap prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Borussia Dortmund made a substitution. Fernandez Quintairos replaced Tomas Levander. In the 86th match minute, Borussia Dortmund was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fatih-Sultan Mehmet to maneuver through the defense. João Francisco Arce recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 87th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Joinville City - FSCMZ were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Borussia Dortmund for a fine match.
