A collision led to Fillos de Breogán getting a freekick after 17 minutes play. Lope Herrero hit a great ball. In the 19th minute Orti Sánchez shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Markus Fågel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a little luck, Fillos de Breogán's Garibaldo Quijana got control of the ball when Jan-Erik Tunberg tried to sneak it across the goal line. Eric Bertaux's late challenge caught a Fillos de Breogán's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Eric Bertaux helped the player get up and apologised. After 27 played minutes Polly Magoo Juniors got a freekick which was hit by Eric Bertaux. Roy Johnsson made in the 28th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Alf Bredberg. 32 minutes into the match, Polly Magoo Juniors's goal looked a bit too open when Gabriel Bogatu came free, but Markus Fågel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
