Norbert Balonek made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Esteban Ignado in the 8th minute of play. FRANK's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Stefan Mathiassen in the 9th minute. In the 15th minute Stefan Mathiassen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Norbert Balonek saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 15th minute, Stefan Mathiassen left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The FRANK fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Norbert Balonek showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Steve Yzerman in the 18th minute of the match. FRANK's Hugo Moraes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gabi Gol in the 19th minute of play. 20 minutes into the game, FRANK's Stefan Mathiassen nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Norbert Balonek made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. The audience was convinced that Esteban Ignado's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Norbert Balonek was relentless in the 27th minute of the game. In the 32nd minute, Esteban Ignado made a precise shot to the right of Norbert Balonek. Goianésia E.C's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-3. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Gabi Gol was the one to do the kick off. Hugo Moraes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Attila Kertész, who was totally free with the ball in the 52nd minute. In the 60th minute, FRANK's Esteban Ignado dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-4. César Delgado hit a great freekick 63 minutes into the match. After having played for 71 minutes, Esteban Ignado managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FRANK's supporters crossed their fingers, but Esteban Ignado was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Roald Engebakken in the 73rd minute of play forced Goianésia E.C's goalkeeper Norbert Balonek to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Hugo Moraes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gabi Gol, who was totally free with the ball in the 74th minute. Esteban Ignado received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 75th minute. Norbert Balonek tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side.
