Manole Cristoiu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 4th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 7 minutes into the match, Rot-Weiss-Essen's goal looked a bit too open when Manole Cristoiu came free, but August Hoffmanns reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 14th minute, Lopes Maysonet got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. August Hoffmanns came out of the goal in the 21st minute to try and stop a shot by Orgullo's Manole Cristoiu. But to his dismay, Manole Cristoiu quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. Anestis Kotsopoulos could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 26th minute of the match, but Artzai Tarin made a huge save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Anestis Kotsopoulos in the 30th minute of play forced Orgullo's goalkeeper Artzai Tarin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 31st minute Maximilian Henning shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Artzai Tarin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. August Hoffmanns didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Manole Cristoiu went, in the 36th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-3 was the resulting score. Artzai Tarin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mesut Özil, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. August Hoffmanns stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Manole Cristoiu's shot from short distance in the 40th minute. In the 46th minute, Manole Cristoiu ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. August Hoffmanns was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-4. After the first half Orgullo were leading 0-4. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Manole Cristoiu's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but August Hoffmanns read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 52nd minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Rot-Weiss-Essen's zone, Manole Cristoiu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. August Hoffmanns came out of the goal and Manole Cristoiu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Manole Cristoiu got free with August Hoffmanns in the 57th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. August Hoffmanns made a fantastic save in the 60th minute, when Cristobal Mendebal sent off a good shot on target. Aimar Barro might have been able to make a better finish in the 65th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over August Hoffmanns. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Aimar Barro ran back to his position shaking his head. With an all-out effort, Orgullo's August Hoffmanns threw himself towards the right post 65 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Aimar Barro, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. 67 minutes into the match, Rot-Weiss-Essen's goalkeeper August Hoffmanns had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Aimar Barro. Aimar Barro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Thanks to some nice moves Cristobal Mendebal could shoot a difficult shot in the 75th minute, which August Hoffmanns however easily saved by the left post. Orgullo's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Yan Chuan Yang in the 78th minute. An unexpected shot in the 79th minute by Yan Chuan Yang got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. 81 minutes into the match, Orgullo's goal looked a bit too open when Maximilian Henning came free, but Artzai Tarin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 86th minute Maximilian Henning shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Artzai Tarin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Artzai Tarin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Maximilian Henning, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. August Hoffmanns made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Aimar Barro in the 88th minute of play. August Hoffmanns showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Aimar Barro, who was totally free with the ball in the 92nd minute. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Orgullo had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
