But to his dismay, Domingo Clis quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. In the 32nd minute, Domingo Clis ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Hugo Orlando Gatti was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. After having played for 38 minutes, Vânderson Barbosa managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Abuba Akotonon FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Vânderson Barbosa was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Domingo Clis in the 40th minute of play forced Abuba Akotonon FC's goalkeeper Hugo Orlando Gatti to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. J.J Okocha's late challenge caught a ΚΛΚΞRΘS ᴾᴵᴬᴿᴬ's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. J.J Okocha helped the player get up and apologised. J.J Okocha hit a great freekick 43 minutes into the match. The supporters of ΚΛΚΞRΘS ᴾᴵᴬᴿᴬ booed when Abuba Akotonon FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 45 match minutes in a wonderful position. Genaro Elivareo didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 46th minute Domingo Clis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hugo Orlando Gatti saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.
