Piara Tittarelli made an important save on a dangerous shot by Agustin Abaunza in the 12th minute. Gabriel Urtats took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Armindo Amado, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Lucio Galo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 15th minute of the match, but Piara Tittarelli made a huge save. 21 minutes into the match, Tomás Raphael notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Areco FC's Gabriel Urtats. Gabriel Urtats was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After some careless play in the Areco FC defense, Lucas Seme kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Gabriel Urtats. The Areco FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Gabriel Urtats should have stopped the shot. Gabriel Urtats made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Armindo Amado in the 27th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Iulian Boc in the 36th minute of play forced Areco FC's goalkeeper Gabriel Urtats to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gabriel Urtats stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Armindo Amado's shot from short distance in the 36th minute. Gabriel Urtats took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Iulian Boc, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Zeledon Sol kicked well hit freekick during the 38th minute of the match. Reconquistense FC were awarded a corner in the 41th minute after Areco FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Augusto Alfonso took the corner. The corner led Reconquistense FC's Augusto Alfonso to fire away a dangerous shot which Gabriel Urtats despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. In the 43rd minute, Areco FC's Zeledon Sol dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-2. Lucas Seme struck a weak shot in the 47th minute. Gabriel Urtats didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Reconquistense FC.

In the 54th minute, Lucas Seme got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tomás Raphael in the 56th minute of play forced Areco FC's goalkeeper Gabriel Urtats to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Piara Tittarelli showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Agustin Abaunza in the 57th minute of the match. 59 minutes into the game, Armindo Amado recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Gabriel Urtats. Armindo Amado showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-3. Reconquistense FC made a substitution. Arnulfo Gamus replaced Tomás Raphael. 63 minutes into the match, Iulian Boc had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Gabriel Urtats. Areco FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Iulian Boc was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-4. In the 66th minute, Armindo Amado ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Gabriel Urtats was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-5. 72 minutes into the match, Reconquistense FC's goal looked a bit too open when Lucio Galo came free, but Piara Tittarelli reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 76 minutes into the match, Reconquistense FC's goal looked a bit too open when Agustin Abaunza came free, but Piara Tittarelli reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Areco FC getting a freekick after 76 minutes play. Ismael Barros hit a great ball. 77 minutes into the match, Jan Ahlqvist had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Gabriel Urtats. Areco FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Jan Ahlqvist was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-6. An unexpectedly hard shot by Iulian Boc in the 83rd minute of play forced Areco FC's goalkeeper Gabriel Urtats to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Reconquistense FC's Gustavo Ferran quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Edgardo Domiku, made in the 86th minute of the game. After 89 played minutes Areco FC got a freekick which was hit by Tor Kämpe. 90 minutes into the match, Reconquistense FC's Zbyszko Dejo broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. The supporters of Reconquistense FC booed when Areco FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 91 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ismael Barros didn't get a good kick on the ball. Piara Tittarelli showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Agustin Abaunza in the 93rd minute of the match. 94 minutes into the match, Areco FC's goal looked a bit too open when Jan Ahlqvist came free, but Gabriel Urtats reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience was convinced that Jan Ahlqvist's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Gabriel Urtats was relentless in the 95th minute of the game. The Reconquistense FC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Reconquistense FC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
