Leopoldo Lastur showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Theo Hayles, who was totally free with the ball in the 5th minute. Club Sportivo Italiano's Reynaldo Stephen played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nicanor Florinio in the 9th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Leones FC's zone, Theo Hayles stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Leopoldo Lastur came out of the goal and Theo Hayles tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 15th minute of the match, Evelio Pes tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Leopoldo Lastur saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. In the 18th minute Evelio Pes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Leopoldo Lastur saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 19th minute of the match Club Sportivo Italiano got a corner. Leones FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Luisito Bikendi ran over to the corner to take the kick. In the 21st match minute, Club Sportivo Italiano was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Wilhelm Steinitz to maneuver through the defense. After 22 played minutes Club Sportivo Italiano got a freekick which was hit by Wilhelm Steinitz. Leopoldo Lastur showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Theo Hayles, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. 28 minutes into the game, Theo Hayles recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Leopoldo Lastur. Theo Hayles showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. A collision led to Leones FC getting a freekick after 39 minutes play. Leonardo Poz hit a great ball. 45 minutes in the game, the ball went up into the seats when Leones FC's Wilfredo Quinto fired away a shot that was just a little bit too high. He walked away shaking his head. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Evelio Pes to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 59th minute Theo Hayles shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Leopoldo Lastur saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Wilfredo Quinto got free with Reynaldo Stephen in the 60th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 64th match minute, Leones FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mariano Peyo to maneuver through the defense. After 74 played minutes Leones FC got a freekick which was hit by Martin Asier. Theo Hayles blasted a shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Leopoldo Lastur having to make a save. Reynaldo Stephen made an important save on a dangerous shot by Wilfredo Quinto in the 77th minute. If Theo Hayles had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 84 minutes into the game, Theo Hayles cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Leopoldo Lastur was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 91 minutes into the match, Leones FC's goal looked a bit too open when Theo Hayles came free, but Leopoldo Lastur reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 92nd minute, Martin Asier hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 93rdth minute of the game Evelio Pes who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Leones FC's Leopoldo Lastur was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Martin Asier received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Reynaldo Stephen came out and tried to block the shot, but Martin Asier slotted it home off the left post making it 2-1 in the 96th minute. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Club Sportivo Italiano had played much better football throughout.
