Mainumby's Guaberto Cucao played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Evelio Pes in the 2nd minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Evelio Pes in the 5th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Guaberto Cucao saved Mainumby from getting behind. An unexpectedly hard shot by Evelio Pes in the 7th minute of play forced Mainumby's goalkeeper Guaberto Cucao to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 15 played minutes Club Sportivo Italiano got a freekick which was hit by Rogelio Claris. The supporters of Club Sportivo Italiano booed when Mainumby was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 18 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dionisio Acevedo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Guaberto Cucao made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Evelio Pes in the 19th minute of play. Evelio Pes had several of the Mainumby's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 23 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 1-0 score and a disappointed Guaberto Cucao as he didn't even see the shot coming. Guaberto Cucao showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Evelio Pes in the 27th minute of the match. 29 minutes had been played when some careless play by Mainumby's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Luisito Bikendi was slow to take the kick. During this time Club Sportivo Italiano's players had a chance to rest. After taking down the ball on Club Sportivo Italiano's corner Evelio Pes fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Guaberto Cucao quite easily take care of the ball. In the 34th minute, Evelio Pes ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Guaberto Cucao was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. Evelio Pes's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Guaberto Cucao read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 37th minute of play. In the 39th minute Club Sportivo Italiano were awarded a corner. Luisito Bikendi went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner led Club Sportivo Italiano's Evelio Pes to fire away a dangerous shot which Guaberto Cucao despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Nunez Gizon struck a weak shot in the 45th minute. Reynaldo Stephen didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Mainumby.

Mainumby's Victor Gelmiro was substituted for David Isusko. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Lázaro Chap was the one to do the kick off. In the 56thth minute of the game Evelio Pes who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Mainumby's Guaberto Cucao was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Guaberto Cucao took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Evelio Pes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 60 minutes into the match, Theo Hayles notched a goal, 4-0, to the right of Mainumby's Guaberto Cucao. Guaberto Cucao was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 64th minute of the match Basilio Araoz shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Guaberto Cucao showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Guaberto Cucao showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Theo Hayles in the 66th minute of the match. The audience was convinced that Evelio Pes's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Guaberto Cucao was relentless in the 67th minute of the game. In the 69th minute Evelio Pes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Guaberto Cucao saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 70 minutes into the match, Mainumby's goal looked a bit too open when Theo Hayles came free, but Guaberto Cucao reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Guaberto Cucao took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Evelio Pes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 78 minutes into the game, Club Sportivo Italiano's Evelio Pes nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Guaberto Cucao made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 5-0. After some careless play in the Mainumby defense, Evelio Pes kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Guaberto Cucao. The Mainumby fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Guaberto Cucao should have stopped the shot. Mainumby's Guaberto Cucao played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Evelio Pes in the 84th minute of play. 86 minutes into the match, Evelio Pes had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Guaberto Cucao. Mainumby's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Evelio Pes was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 7-0. The audience was convinced that Evelio Pes's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Guaberto Cucao was relentless in the 92nd minute of the game. Club Sportivo Italiano were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Mainumby for a fine match.
