Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Lázaro Chap started the match with the kick off. After 3 played minutes Leones FC got a freekick which was hit by Leonardo Poz. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ladislao Serafo in the 4th minute of play forced Leones FC's goalkeeper Leopoldo Lastur to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 7th minute, Martin Asier managed to get in a good position for a shot. Leones FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Martin Asier was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Guaberto Cucao breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Leopoldo Lastur made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lázaro Chap in the 9th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Leones FC's Leonardo Poz got a free kick in the 13th minute. Nunez Gizon could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 14th minute of the match, but Leopoldo Lastur made a huge save. 19 minutes into the game, Nicolas Bizi cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Guaberto Cucao was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Mainumby's Guaberto Cucao played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nicolas Bizi in the 21st minute of play. Nicolas Bizi's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Guaberto Cucao read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 24th minute of play. In the 25th minute, Ignacio Cayo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some careless play in the Mainumby defense, Nicolas Bizi kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Guaberto Cucao. The Mainumby fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Guaberto Cucao should have stopped the shot. Guaberto Cucao took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nicolas Bizi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Leones FC booed when Mainumby was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 38 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ladislao Serafo didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Leones FC's zone, Ladislao Serafo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Leopoldo Lastur came out of the goal and Ladislao Serafo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Mainumby's Francisco Dominic was substituted for Nunez Gizon. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Nicolas Bizi stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 58 minutes into the game, Mainumby's Lázaro Chap nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Leopoldo Lastur made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. Leopoldo Lastur showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ladislao Serafo, who was totally free with the ball in the 62nd minute. Guaberto Cucao took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Martin Asier, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Nicolas Bizi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Guaberto Cucao having to interfere. Leones FC's Leopoldo Lastur played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lázaro Chap in the 72nd minute of play. In the 76th minute, Martin Asier fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Guaberto Cucao made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nicolas Bizi in the 76th minute of play. The audience was convinced that Ladislao Serafo's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Leopoldo Lastur was relentless in the 78th minute of the game. Mainumby's Guaberto Cucao proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 84th minute of the match, managed to save Mainumby from getting a goal against them. Nicolas Bizi's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Guaberto Cucao read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 85th minute of play. With a little luck, Mainumby's Guaberto Cucao got control of the ball when Leonardo Poz tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 91st minute, Martin Asier ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Guaberto Cucao was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-3. Leones FC were delighted with the way they had won the match. They had held their defensive line well and made the most of their chances, to claim a victory over Mainumby's much stronger midfield.
