Ludomil Ziomkowski made a fantastic save in the 19th minute, when Lacy Ericsson sent off a good shot on target. Aaron Glanselius made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Afonso da Cunha in the 21st minute of play. 24 minutes had been played when some careless play by SSC Ambrosini's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Xande Campbell was slow to take the kick. During this time CA Metropolitano - FSCMZ's players had a chance to rest. Christer Lundin hit a great freekick 27 minutes into the match. After 31 played minutes CA Metropolitano - FSCMZ got a freekick which was hit by Eustacio Ikatz. After 36 minutes of play, CA Metropolitano - FSCMZ's Xande Campbell made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Aaron Glanselius was left in no man's land by his defense there! A collision led to SSC Ambrosini getting a freekick after 39 minutes play. Juhan Kersna hit a great ball. In the 40th minute of the match Xande Campbell sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Aaron Glanselius skillfully saved the ball. Henrik Möllgren scored 1-1 in the 41st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ludomil Ziomkowski, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Aaron Glanselius showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Afonso da Cunha was the one to do the kick off. 51 minutes into the game, Afonso da Cunha recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Aaron Glanselius. Afonso da Cunha showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-2. CA Metropolitano - FSCMZ's Ludomil Ziomkowski played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Henrik Möllgren in the 58th minute of play. In the 60th minute Afonso da Cunha shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Aaron Glanselius saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 62nd minute of the game. One of SSC Ambrosini:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of CA Metropolitano - FSCMZ:s goal. CA Metropolitano - FSCMZ made a substitution. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ludomil Ziomkowski prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Cléberson Munhoz was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 96 minutes into the match. Jan Malm shot the penalty kick right outside the post. CA Metropolitano - FSCMZ played a much better game than SSC Ambrosini and deserved their victory. The SSC Ambrosini players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
