A collision led to ◄◄Lucas Cerro Largo►► getting a freekick after 8 minutes play. Nicollao Narbona hit a great ball. In the 12th minute, Loco Durazno made a precise shot to the right of Ermengol Baena. ◄◄Lucas Cerro Largo►►'s defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. The supporters of Golden Lions FC booed when ◄◄Lucas Cerro Largo►► was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 20 match minutes in a wonderful position. Daniel Golob didn't get a good kick on the ball. Georg Termander ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner first didn't look so dangerous but when Marcelo Steven got the ball he succeeded in some way to get through the defenders to deliver a very hard score. Result 1-4. 38 minutes into the match. Ermengol Baena made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Georg Termander in the 43rd minute of play. In the 44th match minute, Golden Lions FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Igor Dzierwa to maneuver through the defense. ◄◄Lucas Cerro Largo►►'s Ermengol Baena played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marcelo Steven in the 46th minute of play. Ermengol Baena showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marcelo Steven, who was totally free with the ball in the 47th minute. After the first half Golden Lions FC were leading 1-4. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Franco Bosch to strike the kick off in the second half. Loco Durazno fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ermengol Baena having to interfere. In the 59th minute, Cordario Bazarra hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Loco Durazno in the 60th minute of play forced ◄◄Lucas Cerro Largo►►'s goalkeeper Ermengol Baena to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 64 minutes into the match, ◄◄Lucas Cerro Largo►►'s goal looked a bit too open when Loco Durazno came free, but Ermengol Baena reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 79th minute, Loco Durazno managed to get in a good position for a shot. With a little luck, ◄◄Lucas Cerro Largo►►'s Ermengol Baena got control of the ball when Mats Nyström tried to sneak it across the goal line. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Golden Lions FC had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
