André Jordão was slow to take the kick. During this time SC Braga's players had a chance to rest. Antonio Adán made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Loco Durazno in the 10th minute of play. Loco Durazno's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Antonio Adán read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 12th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Loco Durazno in the 14th minute of play forced SC Braga's goalkeeper Antonio Adán to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 16 minutes had been played when some careless play by SC Braga's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Georg Termander was slow to take the kick. During this time Golden Lions FC's players had a chance to rest. A nice corner shot did that Georg Termander got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Antonio Adán quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. After 19 played minutes SC Braga got a freekick which was hit by Jon-Egil Sætre. In the 19th minute of the match Georg Termander sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Antonio Adán skillfully saved the ball. SC Braga's Antonio Adán played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Loco Durazno in the 21st minute of play. Antonio Adán took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Loco Durazno, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Antonio Adán showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Loco Durazno, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. After having played for 27 minutes, Zigmantas Gimbutas managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. SC Braga's supporters crossed their fingers, but Zigmantas Gimbutas was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. With a little luck, Golden Lions FC's Anders Lundqvist got control of the ball when Zigmantas Gimbutas tried to sneak it across the goal line. Antonio Adán made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Loco Durazno in the 43rd minute of play. Anders Lundqvist made an important save on a dangerous shot by Zigmantas Gimbutas in the 47th minute.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Zigmantas Gimbutas was the one to do the kick off. Georg Termander kicked well hit freekick during the 50th minute of the match. 53 minutes into the match, Golden Lions FC's goal looked a bit too open when Zigmantas Gimbutas came free, but Anders Lundqvist reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 63 minutes into the match, SC Braga's Zigmantas Gimbutas sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Anders Lundqvist narrowly saved just below the crossbar.
