Lunatics of Arianrhod's Joel Hibai was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Bogdan Lobonț in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Cristoforo Tammaro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Francisc Jităreanu in the 12th minute of the match. Lunatics of Arianrhod's Cristoforo Tammaro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gabriel Vermeşan in the 14th minute of play. After having played for 18 minutes, Gheorghe Craioveanu managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Emerald's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gheorghe Craioveanu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Bogdan Lobonț made an important save on a dangerous shot by Joel Hibai in the 19th minute. In the 20th match minute, Emerald was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gheorghe Craioveanu to maneuver through the defense. In the 21st minute of the match Flavio Morelli shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Bogdan Lobonț showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Elia Di Sipio hit a great freekick 22 minutes into the match. 26 minutes into the game, Elia Di Sipio threw the ball into play from the sideline. Emerald's Niculae Negreanu quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. If Joel Hibai had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Bogdan Lobonț showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ernesto Martini, who was totally free with the ball in the 35th minute. In the 37th minute of the match Lunatics of Arianrhod got a corner. Emerald's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Joel Hibai ran over to the corner to take the kick. In the 38th minute Joel Hibai shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bogdan Lobonț saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Bogdan Lobonț made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Joel Hibai in the 42nd minute of play. In the 43rd minute of the match Grigore Stătescu shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Cristoforo Tammaro showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. After 44 played minutes Emerald got a freekick which was hit by Gabriel Mălaimare. Bogdan Lobonț didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Ernesto Martini went, in the 46th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Joel Hibai to strike the kick off in the second half. The Lunatics of Arianrhod fans' excitement grew in the 51st match minute when Lunatics of Arianrhod's Fedele Panza looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Joel Hibai struck a weak shot in the 57th minute. Bogdan Lobonț didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Lunatics of Arianrhod. 60 minutes into the match, Lunatics of Arianrhod's goal looked a bit too open when Gabriel Vermeşan came free, but Cristoforo Tammaro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Bogdan Lobonț showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ernesto Martini, who was totally free with the ball in the 65th minute. After 65 minutes of play, Lunatics of Arianrhod's Ernesto Martini made it 3-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net.
