Bogdan Lobonț showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Petro Shenaj, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. In the 23rd minute, Petro Shenaj ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Bogdan Lobonț was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-0. A collision led to Emerald getting a freekick after 27 minutes play. Victor Piţurcă hit a great ball. 34 minutes into the match, Victor Piţurcă notched a goal, 3-1, to the right of AC Milan's Qiao Si Chao. Qiao Si Chao was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. An unexpectedly hard shot by Victor Piţurcă in the 39th minute of play forced AC Milan's goalkeeper Qiao Si Chao to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the match clock showed 40 minutes, the score became 3-2 when Victor Piţurcă sped through AC Milan's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Qiao Si Chao. Bogdan Lobonț showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Petro Shenaj, who was totally free with the ball in the 44th minute. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-2 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Petro Shenaj made a kick off. After a rather tough play, Emerald's Hurşit Cemşit got a free kick in the 52nd minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 53rd minute, Fuat Mançellari managed to get in a good position for a shot. AC Milan's supporters rose to their feet, but Fuat Mançellari was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Bogdan Lobonț breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 56 minutes into the match, Gabriel Vermeşan notched a goal, 3-3, to the right of AC Milan's Qiao Si Chao. Qiao Si Chao was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. AC Milan's Qiao Si Chao played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Valeriu Râmniceanu in the 60th minute of play. Bogdan Lobonț made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Petro Shenaj in the 61st minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Victor Piţurcă in the 70th minute of play forced AC Milan's goalkeeper Qiao Si Chao to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Qiao Si Chao made an important save on a dangerous shot by Gabriel Vermeşan in the 72nd minute. AC Milan made a substitution. Bhadrasva Nigam replaced Lavdi Eminaj. After 76 played minutes AC Milan got a freekick which was hit by Bela Droga. Gabriel Vermeşan could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 78th minute of the match, but Qiao Si Chao made a huge save. In the 87th match minute, Emerald was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Valeriu Râmniceanu to maneuver through the defense. After a rather tough play, Emerald's Victor Piţurcă got a free kick in the 93rd minute. Despite being the better team, AC Milan failed to find the winning goal and were forced to settle for a single point.
