Lazaros Kabantais showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from 陶渊伟 in the 22nd minute of the match. Carlos Larpe could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 24th minute of the match, but Wincent Dropinski made a huge save. After some fancy dribbling in the 29th minute, Robben Spoelberchs managed to get in a good position for a shot. Castanheiro SC's supporters rose to their feet, but Robben Spoelberchs was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Lazaros Kabantais breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Wincent Dropinski showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Horacio Abajas, who was totally free with the ball in the 56th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Carlos Larpe in the 58th minute of play forced Castanheiro SC's goalkeeper Wincent Dropinski to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
