Lee Kerr showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from 崔光笑, who was totally free with the ball in the 15th minute. A collision led to Atlético Montserrat getting a freekick after 19 minutes play. Salvador Orlanda hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cumhur Tanacan in the 20th minute of play forced Atlético Montserrat's goalkeeper Jesus Luke to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some careless play in the Atlético Montserrat defense, Cumhur Tanacan kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jesus Luke. The Atlético Montserrat fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jesus Luke should have stopped the shot. Jesus Luke didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Kemalettin Torhan went, in the 27th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. Jesus Luke took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kemalettin Torhan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 31st minute Ulysses Madureira shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jesus Luke saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Lee Kerr was a little too slow when Robert Boruta got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 35th minute. The score was now 1-2. Bernardo Calvet made in the 40th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Clapham Comets F.C.'s Gogo Llorienzo. In the 45th minute, 崔光笑 hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Cumhur Tanacan was the one to do the kick off. Clapham Comets F.C. were furious when Ulysses Madureira was red carded, 92 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. In a very dangerous position, a player in Clapham Comets F.C. fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 91st minute. Penalty! When the match had gone on for 97 minutes, Cumhur Tanacan took a quick shot and it went in 2-3 without a chance for Jesus Luke to make any attempt to save it.
