An unexpectedly hard shot by Ortiz Apellaniz in the 6th minute of play forced Marlin FC's goalkeeper Juan Carlos Alvarez to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 8 minutes into the match, Roneros F.C.'s Romão Mourato sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Juan Carlos Alvarez narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The audience thought a goal was coming when Romão Mourato got free with Juan Carlos Alvarez in the 24th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 29th minute the ball was on its way in behind Marlin FC's goalkeeper Juan Carlos Alvarez, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Juan Carlos Alvarez showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ortiz Apellaniz, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. After 42 played minutes Marlin FC got a freekick which was hit by Jeronimo Sotil. In the 86th minute of the match, Dionisio Panpili tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Ricardo Ceberiche saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Marlin FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Süruri Erbaş was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 5-2. Ricardo Ceberiche took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dionisio Panpili, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Roneros F.C. had won after a very even match.
