The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 2nd minute Gong Yang shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cătălin Trică saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Zhu Zhen Lin during the 4th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After some fancy dribbling in the 5th minute, Iustin Radovan managed to get in a good position for a shot. Purcaresti CSS's supporters rose to their feet, but Iustin Radovan was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Róbert Behúň breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Gong Yang's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Cătălin Trică read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 7th minute of play. A nice corner shot did that Blas Soter got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Cătălin Trică quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. After 14 minutes, Ferdinand Arghiroiu mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Purcaresti CSS and the FC Kukova players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 14th minute, Ferdinand Arghiroiu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Jozef Šagáth had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 19th minute, Gong Yang ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Cătălin Trică was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. 24 minutes into the game, Emanuel Șerbulea cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Róbert Behúň was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After a rather tough play, Purcaresti CSS's Pavel Mazăre got a free kick in the 26th minute. In the 30th minute, Pavel Mazăre ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Róbert Behúň was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. Jozef Šagáth sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Cătălin Trică showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gong Yang, who was totally free with the ball in the 36th minute. Cătălin Trică made a fantastic save in the 43rd minute, when Gong Yang sent off a good shot on target. After 45 played minutes FC Kukova got a freekick which was hit by Zhu Zhen Lin. FC Kukova's Róbert Behúň played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by David Zamfirescu in the 46th minute of play. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

In the 53rd minute, Jozef Šagáth got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Jozef Šagáth sent away a hard shot on goal in the 62nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Purcaresti CSS's Cătălin Trică played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gong Yang in the 74th minute of play. 75 minutes into the match, Purcaresti CSS's goal looked a bit too open when Gong Yang came free, but Cătălin Trică reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of FC Kukova booed when Purcaresti CSS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 83 match minutes in a wonderful position. David Zamfirescu didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 86th minute, Gong Yang ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Cătălin Trică was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-2. After 90 played minutes FC Kukova got a freekick which was hit by André Pirlo. In the 91st minute Iustin Radovan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Róbert Behúň saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Cătălin Trică took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gong Yang, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Róbert Behúň made a fantastic save in the 94th minute, when Nistor Anton sent off a good shot on target. Andrei Dumitrache kicked well hit freekick during the 96th minute of the match. When the referee blew the final whistle, FC Kukova could leave the field as winners, despite Purcaresti CSS having more of the ball for most of the match.
