Zhu Zhen Lin hit a great ball. 6 minutes into the match, Gong Yang notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Purcaresti CSS's Cătălin Trică. Cătălin Trică was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. When Gong Yang came up free with the goalie in the 9th minute, the FC Kukova fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gong Yang couldn't finish the play. After some fancy dribbling in the 11th minute, Pavel Mazăre managed to get in a good position for a shot. Purcaresti CSS's supporters rose to their feet, but Pavel Mazăre was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Róbert Behúň breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Gong Yang in the 13th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Cătălin Trică saved Purcaresti CSS from getting behind. 16 minutes into the match, Purcaresti CSS's goal looked a bit too open when Jozef Šagáth came free, but Cătălin Trică reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Róbert Behúň showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Pavel Mazăre in the 20th minute of the match. 24 minutes into the match, Purcaresti CSS's goal looked a bit too open when Gong Yang came free, but Cătălin Trică reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Nistor Anton could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 27th minute of the match, but Róbert Behúň made a huge save. Cătălin Trică took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gong Yang, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 33 minutes of play, FC Kukova's Gong Yang made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Cătălin Trică was left in no man's land by his defense there! Gong Yang received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. Cătălin Trică tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Purcaresti CSS's Cătălin Trică played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jozef Šagáth in the 37th minute of play. Jozef Šagáth's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Cătălin Trică read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 41st minute of play. After a rather tough play, FC Kukova's Stano Dubček got a free kick in the 47th minute. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Cătălin Trică showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jozef Šagáth, who was totally free with the ball in the 54th minute. André Pirlo hit a great freekick 55 minutes into the match. In the 56th minute, Ferdinand Arghiroiu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jozef Šagáth fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cătălin Trică having to interfere. Purcaresti CSS's Cătălin Trică played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gong Yang in the 64th minute of play. When Ioan Bornescu, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 69 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Róbert Behúň was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. Cătălin Trică was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Gong Yang showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-3 in the 71 minute of play. Purcaresti CSS's Cătălin Trică played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gong Yang in the 76th minute of play. Gong Yang could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 81st minute of the match, but Cătălin Trică made a huge save.
