The audience thought a goal was coming when Gábor Joó got free with Josef Witlatschil in the 18th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 24 minutes into the match, Tiger's goalkeeper Josef Witlatschil had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Gábor Joó. After some careless play in the Valencia CF Mindszent defense, Iwo Sawicki kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Daniel Banaszak. The Valencia CF Mindszent fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Daniel Banaszak should have stopped the shot. 31 minutes into the match, Valencia CF Mindszent's goal looked a bit too open when Pentti Ojala came free, but Daniel Banaszak reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Tiger's Josef Witlatschil proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 42nd minute of the match, managed to save Tiger from getting a goal against them. After the first half Tiger were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Pentti Ojala to make the kick off. Daniel Banaszak made a fantastic save in the 51st minute, when Thilo Heß sent off a good shot on target. An unexpectedly hard shot by Thilo Heß in the 55th minute of play forced Valencia CF Mindszent's goalkeeper Daniel Banaszak to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Valencia CF Mindszent made a substitution. Bob Sinclair replaced Gábor Joó. Valencia CF Mindszent were awarded a corner in the 63th minute after Tiger's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Maurício Monsanto took the corner. When the match had gone on for 82 minutes, Bob Sinclair put it in 1-3 from a short distance just to the right of Josef Witlatschil. In the 87th minute, Bob Sinclair left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Valencia CF Mindszent fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-3. Daniel Banaszak made an important save on a dangerous shot by Iwo Sawicki in the 90th minute. After 91 minutes of play, Tiger's Thilo Heß made it 2-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Daniel Banaszak was left in no man's land by his defense there! Josef Witlatschil showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bob Sinclair in the 95th minute of the match. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Tiger had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
