In the 16th minute the ball was on its way in behind Tirense F.C.'s goalkeeper Washington de Lara, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Tirense F.C.'s Adrian Onbera quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Fiz Biembengén, made in the 77th minute of the game. The audience thought a goal was coming when Alexis Alexandris got free with Washington de Lara in the 83rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Washington de Lara made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Walter Giardino in the 84th minute of play.
