David Elodio might have been able to make a better finish in the 10th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Moises Francho. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. David Elodio ran back to his position shaking his head. Moises Francho stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of David Elodio's shot from short distance in the 12th minute. After 13 minutes La Coruña FC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Chen Zhen who took care of the corner kick. If David Elodio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 18 minutes into the game, Ödön Szily was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. SC Freiburg 1904 e.V.'s manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave La Coruña FC the free kick. Ödön Szily kicked well hit freekick during the 18th minute of the match. David Elodio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 34 minutes into the match, La Coruña FC's goal looked a bit too open when David Elodio came free, but Moises Francho reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Chen Zhen made in the 40th minute of the game a quick throw-in and David Elodio immediately put the ball in play. Ödön Szily recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 41st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 42nd match minute, La Coruña FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Matei Irimia to maneuver through the defense. David Elodio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

David Elodio could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 52nd minute of the match, but Moises Francho made a huge save. The throw-in from Matei Irimia in the 53rd minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by SC Freiburg 1904 e.V.'s Matthias Ginter. Matei Irimia got a throw-in 58 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Octavio Arnau. In the 61st minute of the game Matei Irimia made a throw-in which Octavio Arnau played forward. Andriy Lunin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Elari Eesti, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A sloppy throw-in by Matei Irimia in the 63rd minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by SC Freiburg 1904 e.V.'s Ödön Szily. The throw-in from Matei Irimia in the 64th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by SC Freiburg 1904 e.V.'s Matthias Ginter. The supporters of SC Freiburg 1904 e.V. booed when La Coruña FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 64 match minutes in a wonderful position. Matei Irimia didn't get a good kick on the ball. La Coruña FC's Moises Francho played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by David Elodio in the 69th minute of play. After 72 minutes of play, La Coruña FC's Elari Eesti made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Andriy Lunin was left in no man's land by his defense there! David Elodio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. A collision led to La Coruña FC getting a freekick after 77 minutes play. Matei Irimia hit a great ball. Moises Francho didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when SC Freiburg 1904 e.V.'s David Elodio shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 2-1 in the ordered_time% minute. 82 minutes into the game, Matei Irimia threw the ball into play from the sideline. SC Freiburg 1904 e.V.'s Matthias Ginter quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. If David Elodio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. David Elodio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Moises Francho having to interfere. A hard shot 91 in the game by David Elodio from a close distance when the talented Moises Francho managed to make a qualified save. La Coruña FC's players were relieved. David Elodio struck a weak shot in the 92nd minute. Moises Francho didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for SC Freiburg 1904 e.V.. Moises Francho was out of position in the 94 minute of play, and Henning Fink capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Henning Fink really showed his touch with that goal: 2-2. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
