Rakkestad IF's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Konrad Dziewedik in the 47th minute. Konrad Dziewedik made a great header on Rakkestad IF's corner, it was just that SC Freiburg 1904 e.V.'s Andriy Lunin managed to reach the ball for a save.

After 53 played minutes Rakkestad IF got a freekick which was hit by Kai Sørdal. David Elodio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 54th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After a rather tough play, SC Freiburg 1904 e.V.'s Nemanja Vidić got a free kick in the 56th minute. A sloppy throw-in by Ion Nediu in the 62nd minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by SC Freiburg 1904 e.V.'s Matthias Ginter. In the 63rd minute Fabiano Ornelas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Andriy Lunin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 64 played minutes SC Freiburg 1904 e.V. got a freekick which was hit by Nemanja Vidić. An unexpectedly hard shot by David Elodio in the 68th minute of play forced Rakkestad IF's goalkeeper Christophe Pourre to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. David Elodio's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Christophe Pourre read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 70th minute of play. Rakkestad IF's Joachim Hylland was substituted for Fabiano Ornelas. Rakkestad IF's Robert Pirès was substituted for Romain Declerck. In the 74th minute Ödön Szily shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Christophe Pourre saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Rakkestad IF's Christophe Pourre played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by David Elodio in the 77th minute of play. 77 minutes into the game, David Elodio cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Christophe Pourre was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. With a little luck, SC Freiburg 1904 e.V.'s Andriy Lunin got control of the ball when Joachim Hylland tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 85th minute the ball was on its way in behind Rakkestad IF's goalkeeper Christophe Pourre, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. SC Freiburg 1904 e.V.'s Henning Fink managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Cristobal Pepillo in the 87 minute of the game. After a rather tough play, SC Freiburg 1904 e.V.'s Kevin Schade got a free kick in the 88th minute. The long shot by Konrad Dziewedik in the 89th minute really tested Andriy Lunin's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. Ion Nediu made in the 91st minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Joachim Hylland. Andriy Lunin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Johan Ødegården in the 92nd minute of the match. A collision led to SC Freiburg 1904 e.V. getting a freekick after 93 minutes play. Hernan Melber hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in SC Freiburg 1904 e.V.'s zone, Johan Ødegården stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Andriy Lunin came out of the goal and Johan Ødegården tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Andriy Lunin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Joachim Hylland in the 96th minute of play. Rakkestad IF were clearly unhappy with the draw, as they felt they had done enough to earn themselves a victory.
