A well-hit corner resulted in Cleto Matxin heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. Dani Hernández showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cleto Matxin, who was totally free with the ball in the 11th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cleto Matxin in the 15th minute of play forced Chivos de Punto Fijo's goalkeeper Dani Hernández to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some careless play in the Jukatriz defense, Nilmar Marinho kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Oséas Albuquerque. The Jukatriz fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Oséas Albuquerque should have stopped the shot. The crowd rose to their feet as Chivos de Punto Fijo's Narciso Gombal slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Oséas Albuquerque. That made the score 2-0 after 22 minutes of play. Dani Hernández made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Arif Ozan Sureha in the 26th minute of play. Oséas Albuquerque took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Honorio Cerra, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Filip Bochinski received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Oséas Albuquerque came out and tried to block the shot, but Filip Bochinski slotted it home off the left post making it 3-0 in the 30th minute. Dani Hernández made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cleto Matxin in the 37th minute of play. In the 39th minute, Cleto Matxin ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Dani Hernández was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-1. Zhao Shu Cheng lost his temper 44 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. 44 minutes into the game, one of Chivos de Punto Fijo:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. 46 minutes into the game, Jukatriz's Arif Ozan Sureha nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Dani Hernández made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-2.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Nilmar Marinho to make the kick off. After taking down the ball on Jukatriz's corner Augusto Alcântara fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Dani Hernández quite easily take care of the ball. Chivos de Punto Fijo made a substitution. Gaston Botinos replaced Narciso Gombal. It was a well-played corner which Arif Ozan Sureha managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Jukatriz walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
