Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Brufoss IL's Emanuel Markham started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Lucian Stere blasted a shot towards the goal in the 7th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Borys Witek having to make a save. Borys Witek made an important save on a dangerous shot by Nicolae Barbu in the 9th minute. FC Steaua Pildesti's Marian Văduvescu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kai Østbye in the 11th minute of play. Nicolae Barbu blasted a shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Borys Witek having to make a save. Through an outstanding action, after 19 minutes, Borys Witek successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. In the 21st minute Constantin Deșliu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Borys Witek saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 22 minutes Brufoss IL's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Terry Doyle who took care of the corner kick. Nicolae Barbu scored 1-0 in the 24th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Borys Witek, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The audience thought a goal was coming when Constantin Deșliu got free with Borys Witek in the 26th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Nicolae Barbu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Borys Witek having to interfere. After 29 played minutes Brufoss IL got a freekick which was hit by Christer Hustad. Constantin Deșliu spun around in front of the goal 30 minutes in the game, and got away a shot that, to his disappointment, went to the left of Brufoss IL's goal. In the 33rd minute, Emmanuel Schol hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Terry Doyle struck a weak shot in the 34th minute. Borys Witek didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FC Steaua Pildesti. 35 minutes into the match, Brufoss IL's goalkeeper Borys Witek had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Nicolae Barbu. Filip Paulescu kicked well hit freekick during the 42nd minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kent Remme in the 44th minute of play forced FC Steaua Pildesti's goalkeeper Marian Văduvescu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Zygmunt Dunajski's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Borys Witek read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 45th minute of play. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The wind increased when Constantin Deșliu made the kick off in the second half. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Emanuel Markham in the 52nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Marian Văduvescu prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 54thth minute of the game Constantin Deșliu who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Brufoss IL's Borys Witek was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 55thth minute of the game Kent Remme who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but FC Steaua Pildesti's Marian Văduvescu was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Emanuel Markham recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 57th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Borys Witek showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Zygmunt Dunajski in the 59th minute of the match. Kent Remme received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 64th minute. Marian Văduvescu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Brufoss IL's Kajetan Kazimierz was substituted for Anders Elstad. Brufoss IL's Borys Witek played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Constantin Deșliu in the 73rd minute of play. When Emanuel Markham came up free with the goalie in the 76th minute, the Brufoss IL fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Emanuel Markham couldn't finish the play. Borys Witek took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nicolae Barbu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Marian Văduvescu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Emanuel Markham in the 81st minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Constantin Deșliu in the 84th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Borys Witek saved Brufoss IL from getting behind. FC Steaua Pildesti's Zygmunt Dunajski got a good chance for a goal in the 87th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. There was no doubt that FC Steaua Pildesti were the better team. FC Steaua Pildesti's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
