Gabriele Batistuta's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ramirez Olazabala read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 16th minute of play. Ramirez Olazabala made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gabriele Batistuta in the 18th minute of play. After some careless play in the Mete y Raspa FC defense, Gabriele Batistuta kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ramirez Olazabala. The Mete y Raspa FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ramirez Olazabala should have stopped the shot. Mete y Raspa FC's Justino Lago managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Tomas Cordaryal in the 24 minute of the game. Caetano Linhares struck a weak shot in the 26th minute. Ramirez Olazabala didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Menchu FC. In the 27th match minute, Mete y Raspa FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Valentín Olveira to maneuver through the defense. In the 32nd minute Menchu FC were awarded a corner. Lucas Martínez Quarta went to the cornerflag to take it. After taking down the ball on Menchu FC's corner Lucas Martínez Quarta fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Ramirez Olazabala quite easily take care of the ball. Mete y Raspa FC's Ramirez Olazabala played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gabriele Batistuta in the 36th minute of play. Gabriele Batistuta's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ramirez Olazabala read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 38th minute of play. When Gabriele Batistuta came up free with the goalie in the 43rd minute, the Menchu FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gabriele Batistuta couldn't finish the play. Ramirez Olazabala didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Gabriele Batistuta went, in the 45th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. After the first half Menchu FC were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

In the 54th minute, Menchu FC's Gabriele Batistuta ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Ramirez Olazabala. Ramirez Olazabala yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-3. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hasan Can Yerhum in the 57th minute of play forced Menchu FC's goalkeeper Camilo Salvidor to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ramirez Olazabala was out of position in the 63 minute of play, and Gabriele Batistuta capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Gabriele Batistuta really showed his touch with that goal: 0-4. Ramirez Olazabala showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Uriel Gorri, who was totally free with the ball in the 65th minute. After some careless play in the Mete y Raspa FC defense, Uriel Gorri kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ramirez Olazabala. The Mete y Raspa FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ramirez Olazabala should have stopped the shot. Menchu FC's Primitivo Rocendo was substituted for Uriel Gorri. Ramirez Olazabala made an important save on a dangerous shot by Gabriele Batistuta in the 69th minute. Hasan Can Yerhum might have been able to make a better finish in the 73rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Camilo Salvidor. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Hasan Can Yerhum ran back to his position shaking his head. Camilo Salvidor showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hasan Can Yerhum in the 73rd minute of the match. In the 74th minute, Cosme Cardarda hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A hard shot 77 in the game by Gabriele Batistuta from a close distance when the talented Ramirez Olazabala managed to make a qualified save. Mete y Raspa FC's players were relieved. The audience was convinced that Gabriele Batistuta's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ramirez Olazabala was relentless in the 88th minute of the game. Menchu FC were awarded a corner in the 90th minute after Mete y Raspa FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Lucas Martínez Quarta took the corner. Romo Cardarda hit a great freekick 93 minutes into the match. Menchu FC's Camilo Salvidor played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hasan Can Yerhum in the 96th minute of play. The Menchu FC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Menchu FC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
